چکیده
To date, the search for most informative diagnostic and prognostic echocardiographic criteria pulmonary embolism is relevant. Aims . conduct a critical analysis of generally accepted in order to establish significant them determining severity outcomes disease. Materials methods The study included 42 patients with fatal embolism, 51 hemodynamically unstable 193 stable course prevalence overload right heart was assessed, followed by their significance disease predicting its outcomes. Results It found that among recognized criteria, are: an increase ratio basal sizes left ventricles more than 1.1, systolic pressure artery 55 mm Hg, dyskinesia free wall ventricle, flattening interventricular septum, decrease excursion plane tricuspid valve less 1.6 cm. However, all them, except last one, do not have high sensitivity specificity. currently underestimated cardiac stroke volume as indicator echocardiography has been established. determined 45 ml correlated hemodynamic instability disease, 35 associated outcome. This had characteristics. Conclusion A cm are indicators assessing prognosis embolism.

OBJECTIVES To perform a systematic review and meta-analysis including all the current studies to assess the accuracy of pulmonary embolism rule-out criteria (PERC) in ruling out pulmonary embolism (PE). METHODS We conducted a comprehensive search of the major databases (Ovid Medline In-Process & Other Non-Indexed Citations, Ovid MEDLINE, Ovid EMBASE, Ovid PsycInfo, Ovid Cochrane Central Regis...
متن کاملEchocardiographic abnormalities of tricuspid valve motion in pulmonary embolism.
Echocardiographic findings in five patients with pulmonary embolism were studied. Tricuspid echocardiograms showed abnormalities in valve motion, that is a monophasic triangular wave during diastole in all the patients as well as an increased dimension of the right ventricle. An "a' dip of the pulmonary valve echocardiogram was also recognised in all five. Later tricuspid echocardiograms regain...
متن کاملClinical and echocardiographic predictors of mortality in acute pulmonary embolism
PURPOSE The aim of this study was to evaluate the utility of adding quantitative assessments of cardiac function from echocardiography to clinical factors in predicting the outcome of patients with acute pulmonary embolism (PE). METHODS Patients with a diagnosis of acute PE, based on a positive ventilation perfusion scan or computed tomography (CT) chest angiogram, were identified using the D...
متن کاملPulmonary Embolism Thrombolytic Therapy of Pulmonary Embolism A Meta-Analysis
OBJECTIVES We sought to assess the efficacy and safety of thrombolytic therapy in patients with an acute pulmonary embolism (PE). BACKGROUND Thrombolytic therapy is approved for the treatment of acute PE; however, the safety and efficacy of this therapy remain debated. METHODS A meta-analysis of randomized, controlled trials comparing thrombolytic agents with intravenous heparin in patients wit...
متن کاملAppropriate Use Criteria for Ventilation–Perfusion Imaging in Pulmonary Embolism
Perfusion lung imaging for diagnosing pulmonary embolism (PE) was introduced 50 y ago (1). At that time, it offered a noninvasive alternative to pulmonary angiography in patients with a clinical suspicion of PE. Because there are many causes of diminished regional blood flow in the lungs, particularly redistribution of blood flow away from regions with lung disease, the subsequent introduction ...
